What is happening?

DARLINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC AND CLEARWAY) ORDER 2025

PARKSIDE, DARLINGTON

Darlington Borough Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an Order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce:

  1. No stopping at any time (clearway); and

  2. The prohibition of the driving of vehicles

On the following road to allow road resurfacing works.

PARKSIDE

From the east side of Clifton Road junction eastwards to the west side of Geneva Crescent junction

An alternative route will be signed via Clifton Road, Clifton Avenue and vice versa and via Neasham Road, A66, Grange Road and vice versa.

From the west side of Kingsbury Mews junction eastwards to the eastern boundary of 126 Parkside

An alternative route will be signed via Park Lane, Clifton Avenue and vice versa and via Neasham Road, A66, Grange Road and vice versa.

The maximum duration of the temporary restrictions under this Order is 18 months commencing from 3rd November 2025, it is anticipated that the restrictions will be effective for one week.
