Public Notices for Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices were served on Thursday 2nd October 2025:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following temporary traffic regulation Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (FOREST ROAD (PART), HANSLOPE) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2231)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along Forest Road, Hanslope from its junction with Hartwell Road for approximately 120 meters in a northerly direction, to facilitate Openreach carrying out maintenance works.
The above closure will come into effect on 14th October 2025 between the hours of 9:30am and 4:30pm.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route (diversion route) will be via Forest Road, Wooton Road, Forest Road, Park Road and Hartwell Road (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (DRAYTON ROAD (PART), BLETCHLEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2218)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along Drayton Road, Bletchley between the junctions of Jersey Drive and Lomond Drive, to enable CityFibre to carry out excavations to clear blockages safely.

The above closure will take effect from 17th to 22nd October 2025 between the hours of 9:30am and 4:30pm.
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via Jersey Drive, A4146 and Lomond Drive (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (HAMPSON CLOSE, BRADWELL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURES) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2223)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along Hampson Close Bradwell between property numbers 2 and 31, to enable Openreach to carry essential works on the highway (new ducting).
The above closure will take effect on 14th and 15th October 2025 between the hours of 8:00am and 6:00pm.
Access will be maintained for residents.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 30th September 2025, made the following temporary traffic regulation Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (RAINBOW DRIVE (PART), LEADENHALL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURES) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2250)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along Rainbow Drive (Part), Leadenhall from the entrance of the Southwest Leisure Centre Carpark to the Northeast Leisure Centre parking area junction to allow Vodafone to carry out pole installation.
The road will be closed on 5th, 12th and 26th October 2025, between the hours of 8:00am and 6:00pm each day.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Rainbow Drive, H7 Chaffron way, Phoenix Drive and Moorgate (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (MOUNT PLEASANT, STOKE GOLDINGTON) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2219)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along part of Mount Pleasant, Stoke Goldington to enable Openreach to install new telecoms pole and cabling.
The road will be closed on 9th and 10th October 2025, between the hours of 8:00am and 6:00pm each day.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Stoke Goldington Road, Common Street, Ravenstone Mill Road, B526 (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (NEWPORT ROAD (PART), WOBURN SANDS) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (No.2) (Reference TTRO-2219)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along Newport Road, Woburn Sands from its junction with Hillway to its junction with Bellway to allow Openreach to carry out works to build joint boxes and lay ducts.
The road will be closed on 12th and 13th October 2025, between the hours of 5:00pm and 7:00am each day.
Whilst the closure is in place the alternative route will be via Cranfield Road and Lower End Road (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS BLETCHLEY, ASTWOOD, WHITEHOUSE AND NEWPORT PAGNELL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2207)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along following lengths of road to enable Anglian Water to undertake maintenance works within the carriageway:
Buckingham Road, Bletchley outside number 153 Buckingham Road.
The road will be closed on 30th and 31st October 2025, between the hours of 7:00pm and 5:00am each day
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Buckingham Road, Standing Way, Saxon Street, Buckingham Road (and vice versa).
Main Road, Astwood from its junction with A422 to its junction with Cranfield Road.
The road will be closed on 6th October 2025, between the hours of 9:30am and 4:30pm.
Access will be maintained throughout the closure.
Station Road, Newport Pagnell (Northbound Carriageway) from its junction with High Street to its junction with the car park entrance.
The road will be closed from 27th October and 5th November 2025 (24 hours each day).
Temporary traffic lights will also be in operation of the High Street Newport Pagnell.
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Station Road, Caldecotte Street, Spring Gardens, Bury Avenue (and vice versa).
Watling Street (V4), Milton Keynes between Calverton Lane and Barrosa Way.
The road will be closed on 13th and 14th October 2025, between the hours of 8:00pm and 6:00am each day.
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Monks Way, Saxon Street and Dansteed Way (and vice versa).

Public Notices for Permanent Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices were served on Thursday 2nd October 2025:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (QUEEN ELEANOR STREET AND WATLING STREET (V4), MILTON KEYNES) (40 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 84(1), (2) and (3) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the above Traffic Regulation Order.
The general effect of the above proposed Order will be to consolidate the existing 40mph speed restriction along Quen Eleanor Street and Watling Street (V4) and extend the 40mph speed restriction along Watling Street (V4) to a point 340 metres south-east of its junction with Burchard Crescent, Shenley Church End.
Milton Keynes City Council is now carrying out statutory consultation on the above proposal. Copies of the proposed Order, together with plans showing the general arrangements and a statement of reason, may be inspected on the Council’s website at:

Any representations or objections to the proposal, together with the grounds upon which they are made, must be made in writing and sent to the Council’s Traffic Regulation Order Team at Milton Keynes City Council, Civic Offices, 1 Saxon Gate East, Central Milton Keynes, MK9 3EJ, or by email to
quoting reference TRO-459 and to be received no later than 23rd October 2025. Any representations received will be taken into consideration before the implementation of the scheme.
