Rotherwas, Temporary Road Closure Due To Carriageway Works

Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: B4399 From Gatehouse Road To Rotherwood, Rotherwas, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the B4399 From Gatehouse Road To Rotherwood, Rotherwas, between the junction of Coldnose Road and Fordshill Road. Grid Ref: 353667/237804.

The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the B4399 onto the B4224, onto the C1292, onto the A438, onto Folly Lane, onto A465, onto Blueschool Street, onto Newmarket Street, onto the A49, onto the B4399 and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to carriageway remedial works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 15th of October 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 1 night.
