What is happening?
LONDON BOROUGH OF EALING
Proposed amendments - Elthorne Park Road, Northfield Avenue, Leighton Road and Seaford Road.
The Ealing (Seaford Road) (Cycle Lane - Two Way) Order 202*; The Ealing (Prescribed Routes) (No. ***) Traffic Order 202*; The Ealing (Prescribed Routes) (No. 5, 1982) (Amendment No. ***) Order 202*; The Ealing (West Ealing - Zone WE) (Residents Parking Places ) (No. 1, 2017) (Amendment No. ***) Order 202*; The Ealing (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Special Parking Area) (Amendment No. ***) Order 202*.
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Ealing, proposes to make the above-mentioned Order, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
2. The general effect of the proposed Order would be to: -
(a) convert lengths of: -
(i) ‘part-time’ waiting to ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on lengths of Leighton Road, Northfield Avenue and Seaford Road;
(ii) ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions to existing permit parking places on Leighton Road;
(iii) existing permit parking places & shared use parking places to ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on Elthorne Park Road (Seward Road to Midhurst Road);
(b) introduce a: -
(i) prohibition of all motor vehicles on Seaford Road (Leighton Road to Northfield Avenue) to operate ‘at all times’;
(ii) two-way cycle lane on Seaford Road (Leighton Road to Northfield Avenue);
(c) relocate the existing width restriction on Leighton Road.
3. The proposed Orders, other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order including a plan, are available by e-mail request to ‘trafficnotices@ealing. gov.uk’ or by inspection at Staff Reception, Perceval House, 14-16 Uxbridge Road W5 2HL between 9:00am and 4:45pm on Monday to Friday, until 6 weeks have elapsed from the date on which either the Orders are made or the Council decides not to make the Orders.
4. Any enquiries, objections or other representations about any of the proposed Order should be sent in writing by e-mail to ‘trafficnotices@ealing.gov.uk’ or by post to Highways Service, Perceval House, 14-16 Uxbridge Road W5 2HL, quoting reference P063-25 until 22 October 2025. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made and should include the address of the author.
