(Bath Road, Wick) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Bath Road which extends from Marshfield Lane north westwards for 1006m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon underground joint box works on or adjacent to the highway. The order became operative from 9 October 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration, between 9:30am and 3:30pm. Alternative route: Lansdown Road, A4, A431, A4175, A420 and vice versa.
(Bristol Road, Hambrook) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Bristol Road which extends from The Stream northwards for 65m and southwards for 40m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with manhole cover replacement works.
The order became operative from 9 October 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 night duration, between 8pm and 6am. Alternative route: A4174, A38, Gipsy Patch Lane, Winterbourne Road, Old Gloucester Road, Bristol Road and vice versa.

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Beaconlea which extends from Hanham Road south eastwards for 50m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon pole replacement works on or adjacent to the highway. The order became operative from 10 October 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration, between 9:30am and 3:30pm.
Alternative route: Beaconlea, Quarry Road, Mount Hill Road, B4046 Lower Hanham Road, B4046 Hanham Road and vice versa.
(Public Footpaths LWR/36/10; LWR/36/20 and LWR/37/10, Wickwar) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Foot Passengers) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the above order, made by South Gloucestershire District Council on 26 March 2025, has been continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport until 6 October 2026 or until such time as the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. The effect of the order has closed, temporarily, to foot passengers the lengths of footpath specified in the Schedule to this notice. This order was required in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon construction works and would have expired on 6 October 2025. SCHEDULE 1. Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to foot passengers the entire length of Public Footpath Broad Lane to Goose Green Way. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon HV cable installation works. The order will be operative from 27 October 2025 for a maximum period of six months. Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, pedal cycles and equestrians the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this notice. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon footway and cycleway installation works on or adjacent to the highway.
The order will be operative from 27 October 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months.

Notice is hereby given that the above order, made by South Gloucestershire District Council on 22 March 2023, has been continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport until 6 April 2026 or until such time as the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. (Poskett Way and Midland View, Charfield) (Prohibition Of Waiting) Order 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that on 24 September 2025 South Gloucestershire District Council made an order under sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3) and 4(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended the effect of which is to prohibit vehicles waiting at any time in lengths of Poskett Way and Midland View, Charfield. Exemptions in the order permit any vehicle to wait for the purpose of boarding or alighting; loading or unloading goods; Post Office services; maintenance of the road; supply of gas, water or electricity; the pursuance of statutory powers or duties; taking in petrol, oil, water or air from any garage; weddings or funerals and in accordance with the current provisions for vehicles which display a disabled person’s badge. (Barnwell Crescent, Charlton Hayes) (One Way Traffic) Order 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that on 24 September 2025 South Gloucestershire District Council made an order under sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended the effect of which is to introduce one way traffic working in Barnwell Crescent, Charlton Hayes. Motor vehicles will travel in an easterly direction. Cyclists are permitted to travel in both directions. Exemptions are contained in the order for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes. The order will come into operation on 6 October 2025 and a copy thereof together with a map and a copy of the Council’s Statement of Reasons for making the order, may be inspected at Patchway One Stop Shop, The Patchway Hub, Rodway Road, Patchway during normal opening hours.
