ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (1)

Temporary Road Closure

Compass Hill, Richmond.

(Reference 25/168)

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate water works, they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Compass Hill, Richmond.

  2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Compass Hill, Richmond from the junction with Petersham Road to the junction with Richmond Hill and Hill Rise.

  3. Whilst Compass Hill, Richmond is closed, an alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via Petersham Road, and Hill Rise.

  4. The order will come into effect on 09 October 2025. These works are anticipated to be in progress overnight only from 09 October to 10 October 2025. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

  5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

  6. Nothing in the Order applies to:

    (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

    (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

    (c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

  7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Road Closure

Seymour Road, Hampton Wick.

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate railway bridge inspection works, they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Seymour Road, Hampton Wick.

  2. Whilst the works take place, no person may permit a vehicle to proceed wait or stand in Seymour Road, from and to a point 20 meters either side of the Railway Bridge.

  3. The order will come into effect on 08 October 2025. The restrictions will remain in force from 22.00 08 October 2025 until 06.00 on 09 October 2025. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

  4. An alternative route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Teddington High Street (A310) Station Rd, Lower Teddington Road and vice versa.

  5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

  6. Nothing in the Order applies to:

    (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

    (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

    (c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

Temporary Parking Restrictions

St Margarets Road, Twickenham.

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate building repair works to a wall, they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in St Margarets Road, Twickenham.

  2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in St Margarets Road, in the end 2 parking bays outside numbers 323-325.

  3. The length of pavement on the eastern side of St Margarets Road will be closed from outside number 300 St Margarets Road to the junction with Kilmorey Road.

  4. The order will come into effect on 06 October 2025. The works are anticipated to be in progress from 06 October 2025 to 12 December 2025. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

  5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

  6. Nothing in the Order applies to:

    (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

    (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate gas connection works, they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Wensleydale Road, Hampton.

  2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Wensleydale Road, Hampton from the junction with Tudor Road to outside number 6 Wensleydale Road.

  3. Whilst Wensleydale Road, Hampton is closed, an alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via Tudor Road, Station Road, Ormond Avenue, Ormond Crescent, Ormond Drive Uxbridge Road Gloucester Road and vice versa and Wensleydale Road, Hollybush Lane, Percy Road, Ashley Road.

  4. The order will come into effect on 29 September 2025. These works are anticipated to be in progress from 29 September to 03 October 2025. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

  5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

  6. Nothing in the Order applies to:

    (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

    (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

    (c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.
