What is happening?

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF BRIDLEWAY

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (BINGHAM FOOTPATH NO.7, ST MARYS CROSSING) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be:-

No person shall:-
(a) Proceed on foot in the following length of footpath at Bingham in the Borough of Rushcliffe :-
Bingham Footpath No.7 at St Marys Level Crossing.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibition will apply as follows:-

From Monday , 13th October 2025 at 22.30hrs until Tuesday, 14th October 2025 at 05.35hrs inclusive.

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction no alternative route will be available.

The prohibition shall apply to enable works to be carried out or in respect of the likelihood of danger to the public and damage to the footpath. It may also apply on subsequent days when it shall be necessary. If the works are not completed within 6 months, the Order may be extended.

The prohibition is required to enable essential tamping works to be carried out and in respect of the likelihood of danger to the public and damage to the footpath.

THIS CLOSURE WILL ONLY TAKE EFFECT WHEN SIGNS INDICATING CLOSURE ARE DISPLAYED
THIS NOTICE IS DATED THIS 1st DAY OF OCTOBER 2025.
