What is happening?

THE SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL

Camphill Road (C130) West Byfleet
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Camphill Road (C130) West Byfleet as extends from its junction with (D3679) Claremont Road to its junction with (X68308) Leisure Lane; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Camphill Road (C130) West Byfleet Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” in its entirety. Alternative Route: Camphill Road, Scotland Bridge Road, (B385) Woodham Lane, (A245) Sheerwater Road, (A245) Old Woking Road, and Camphill Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate sewer pipe repair works for, or on behalf of Thames Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 night, between the hours of 8pm and 5am, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 28 October 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists, and dismounted equestrians. No sole access will be affected by this closure.

Cemetery Pales (D3000) Woking
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Cemetery Pales (D3000) Woking. Alternative Route: The Green, (A324) Guildford Road, (B3032) Guildford Road, (B380) Fox Corner, and (A322) Bagshot Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate improvement works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible between the hours of 9.30am and 4pm, Monday to Friday only, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 01 November 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.

Russell Road (D3644) Horsell
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Russell Road (D3644) Horsell as extends from its junction with (D3643) South Road to its junction with (X4135) Russell Close. Alternative Route: Russell Road, High Street, and South Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate renewal of frame and lid cover works for, or on behalf of Affinity Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 29 October 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via road plates, if required, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

A324 Lockfield Drive, Woking and B380 Guildford Road/Westfield Road, Woking
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles, including cyclists, from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate surface dressing/pre-patching works and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 17 October 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. Access for pedestrians will be permitted by the gatemen when safe to do so. Access for cyclists will not be maintained and will be required to follow the signed diversion route/directed by the gatemen on-site.

  1. that length of B380 Guildford Road/Westfield Road, Woking which extends from the junction with Westfield Avenue to the roundabout junction with A320 Egley Road. Alternative Route 1 (main diversion) – A320 Egley Road, A320 Turnoak Roundabout, A247 Wych Hill Lane, A247 Kingfield Road, B280 Vicarage Road and B380 Westfield Road; Alternative Route 2 (Traffic from D3706 Moor Lane) – D3706 New Lane, D3707 Sutton Green Road, D3707 Whitmoor Lane, A320 Guildford Road (northbound), then follow main diversion above; Alternative Route 3 (Traffic from D7304 Guildford Road) – D7304 Guildford Road (southbound), A320 Guildford Road (northbound) and then follow the join main diversion above;
  2. that length of A324 Lockfield Drive, Woking which extends from its junction with Victoria Way to its junction with A324 Harelands Roundabout. Alternative Route – A324 Victoria Way, A3026 Chobham Road, A3046 Kettlewell Hill, A3046 Chobham Road, C12 Littlewick Road, C145 Lockfield Drive and A324 Lockfield Drive.
