LONDON BOROUGH OF BARNET

THE BARNET (FREE PARKING PLACES, LOADING PLACES, WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO.*) ORDER 20**

THE BARNET (CHARGED-FOR PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT NO.*) ORDER 20**

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 51 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.

As part of a scheme to help improve safety for all road users the general effect of the above Orders would be to:

(a) relocate the existing bus stop clearway from its current position outside Etz Chaim Primary School, Daws Lane NW7 to a new location opposite Nos. 23 to 29 Daws Lane NW7. As part of these amendments, a length of no waiting ‘at any time’ restriction would be introduced outside Etz Chaim Primary School, Daws Lane NW7. In addition, the existing resident permit holder only parking bay situated opposite Nos. 23 to 29 Daws Lane NW7 would be removed.

(b) introduce No stopping “School Keep Clear” restrictions outside Etz Chaim Primary School operating 8am to 9:30am and 3pm to 4:30pm Monday to Friday.

(c) upgrade lengths of existing waiting restrictions operating 11am to 12pm Monday to Friday outside Nos. 23 to 27 Daws Lane NW7, opposite Nos. 31 and 33 Daws Lane and opposite Nos. 17 to 21 Daws Lane to operate ‘at any time’.

(d) convert a length of existing resident permit holder only parking bay operating 11am to 12pm Monday to Friday outside Nos. 27 to 29 Daws Lane NW7 to a length of no waiting ‘at any time’ restrictions.

(e) convert lengths of existing waiting restrictions operating 11am to 12pm Monday to Friday opposite Nos. 15 to 17 Daws Lane, outside Nos. 15 to 19 Daws Lane, outside Nos. 21 to 23 Daws Lane into lengths of resident permit holders only parking bays operating 11am to 12pm Monday to Friday. These amendments will help mitigate the loss of parking due to the introduction of no waiting ‘at any time’ restrictions and the relocation bus stop clearway as mentioned in (a), (c) and (d) above.
