What is happening?
Notice of Making
NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, have, under its relevant powers, made the following Order:
U7413, Shelwick Lane, Shelwick, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the U7413, Shelwick Lane, Shelwick, approximately 20 meters either side of the railway bridge. Grid Ref: 352621/242992. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the U7413 onto the C1127 onto the A4103 onto the C1125 and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to underbridge inspection works and the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 30th of September 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 1 night (23.00 – 6.00hrs).
