What is happening?

ROYAL BOROUGH OF KINGSTON UPON THAMES

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames on 22 September made the following Order The Kingston upon Thames (Parking, Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) (Amendment No. 26) Order 2025 under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 (insofar as applicable) to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other powers thereunto enabling.

  2. The general effect of the Order to facilitate the new entrance into the Cambridge Estate, will in Rowlls Road, Kingston

    (a) introduce/extend certain lengths of waiting restrictions operating ‘at any time’ (double yellow lines) and

    (b) remove certain existing shared use parking bays

  3. Copies of the Order, which will come into effect on 29 September 2025, the Council’s Statement of Reason for making the Order and map schedules may be inspected as follows:–

(a) online from 29 September 2025 at https://streets.appyway.com/kingston-upon-thames

selecting the road name and restriction as detailed 2(a) and (b) above

(b) Council libraries; and

(c) a copy of the made Order can also be obtained by calling 020 8547 5000 (between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday); or

(d) by emailing tmo@kingston.gov.uk (please quote ref MapKing0103 Rowlls Road)

  1. If any person wishes to question the validity of these Order or of any of their provisions on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of the said Act of 1984 or of any instrument made under the said Act of 1984 has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
