What is happening?
Notice of Intention
NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order:
U80129, Church Road, Hereford, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the U80129, Church Road, Hereford, outside no 1 at Electricity Substation. Grid Ref: 352666/240240. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via Hampton Dene Road onto Old Eign Hill onto Hafod Road onto Ledbury Road and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to electricity substation works and the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 25th of October 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 16 days.
