What is happening?
Notice of Intention
NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order:
C1286 From B4221 To Kempley Road, Upton Bishop, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the C1286 From B4221 To Kempley Road, Upton Bishop, near to Endene and Whitecroft. Grid Ref: 364573/227166. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the C1286 onto the C1287 onto the B4221 onto the C1286 and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to pole replacement works and the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 21st of October 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 1 day.
