What is happening?
THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT (ALDER GROVE AND NORTHGATE ROAD, EDGELEY) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport has on 23 September 2025 made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic Act 1991 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 which came into operation on 23 September 2025. The effect of the Order was to introduce No Waiting at Any Time: Alder Grove, Edgeley (east side), from a point 17 metres north west of the intersection of the northern kerb line of Northgate Road to a point 11 metres south east of the southern kerb line of Northgate Road, Northgate Road, Edgeley (north side), from the intersection of the eastern kerb line of Alder Grove for a distance of 10.5 metres in a north easterly direction, and Northgate Road, Edgeley (south side), from the intersection of the eastern kerb line of Alder Grove for a distance of 10 metres in a north easterly direction. A
copy of the Order and map may be obtained from Stockport Legal Services, Town Hall Stockport. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or the Road Traffic Act 1991, or that a requirement of the Act or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
