TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FOOTPATH HITCHIN 10
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians from using that length of Footpath Hitchin 10, heading south from Strathmore Avenue and Brampton Park Road, for an approximate distance of 250m.
The alternative route: via Strathmore Avenue, Old Hale Way and Brampton Park Road
The purpose of the Order is to enable utilities works to take place.
The section of Footpath will be closed on or after 01 October 2025 for up to 5 days, when signs are in place.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ICKNIELD WAY AND CHURCH STREET, BALDOCK) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-
that length of Icknield Way, Baldock from its junction with Church Street north- eastwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 28m.
An alternative route will be via Icknield Way, Norton Road, B656 (Hitchin Street/ Whitehorse Street), A507 Station Road and Icknield Way.
that length of Church Street, Baldock from its junction with Icknield Way south eastwards for a distance of approximately 12m.
The sections of Roads will be temporarily closed to vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order is made, it shall come into force on 14 October 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs or on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTPATH SITUATED BETWEEN NO.11 AND NO.12 NIGHTINGALE WALK, STEVENAGE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the length of Footpath between No.11 and No.12 Nightingale Walk, Stevenage, from a point in line with the north western boundary of No.11 Nightingale Walk south eastwards for an approximate distance of approximately 43m (“the Footpath”).
An alternative route will be via the existing Footpath on the north east side of Nightingale Walk, the footway situated on the south east side of Pankhurst Crescent, the footway on the south west side of Avenue, and the existing Footpath to No.14-22 Cavell Walk, the footway situated on the south west side of Cavell Walk, and finally the Footpath on the north side of Pankhurst Crescent and the Footpath east of No.11 Nightingale Walk.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpath.
The Order is made, it shall come into force on 15 October 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpath.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SPRING DRIVE, STEVENAGE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Spring Drive, Stevenage, from its junction with the access road leading to Gladstone Court south westwards for a distance of approximately 5m (“the Road”), except for access.
The alternative route will be via Spring Drive, Broadwater Crescent and Spring Drive.
The Order is needed because water works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order is made, it shall come into force on 13 October 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Church Lane, Bygrave from its junction with the access road to No.004 north eastwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 445m (“the Road”), except for access.
There is no alternative route.
The Order is needed because the renewal of existing water mains is proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order is made, it shall come into force on 13 October 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Bygrave Road, Baldock/Ashwell Road, Bygrave from its junction with Salisbury Road north westwards and north westwards to its junction with Bygrave Public Bridleway No.001, a distance of approximately 2177m (“the length of Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Bygrave Road, A507 (North Road/Great North Road), Weston Way, A505, Ashwell Road, Newnham Way, West End, High Street, Kingsland Way, Ashwell Street and Baldock Road.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN STEVENAGE, ICKLEFORD AND LETCHWORTH GARDEN CITY) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
that length of Whitehall Road, Stevenage from its junction with Six Hills Way southwards to its junction with Cuttys Lane, a distance of approximately 301m.
An alternative route will be via Whitehall Road, Six Hills Way and Cuttys Lane.
that length of Turnpike Lane, Ickleford from its junction with A600 Bedford Road northwards to its junction with Arlesey Road, a distance of approximately 858m.
An alternative route will be via A600 Bedford Road, Bedford Road, A507 (Baldock Road/ Nightingale Road/Cambridge Road), Stotfold Road, Wilbury Hills Road, Arlesey New Road and Arlesey Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SPERBERRY HILL, ST IPPOLYTS) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Sperberry Hill, St Ippolyts from a point 45m north west of its junction with London Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 38m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Sperberry Hill, B656 London Road, A602 Stevenage Road, Blakemore End Road, Stevenage Road and Sperberry Hill.
The Order is needed because drainage works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order is made, it shall come into force on 29 September 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN HIGH STREET, STEVENAGE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of High Street, Stevenage from its junction with A602 James Way south westwards for a distance of approximately 78m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via A602 (High Street/James Way/Lytton Way), Trinity Road and Church Lane or via Letchmore Road, Sish Lane, Trinity Road and A602 (Lytton Way/ High Street).
ADDITIONALLY: all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of the length of the Road whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because utility works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order shall come into force on 29 September 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES ON VARIOUS ROADS IN BALDOCK DURING THE ‘BALDOCK ANNUAL CHARTER FAIR’) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 16A(1), 16B(1) and 16C(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be:-
To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads, except for access:-
a) that length of B197 High Street, Baldock from its junction with B197 London Road/ South Road roundabout north westwards to its junction with B656 Whitehorse Street, a distance of approximately 643m.
An alternative route will be via B656 Whitehorse Street, A507 Clothall Road and South Road
b) that length of Bell Row, Baldock from its junction with B656 Hitchin Street south eastwards to its junction with the service road fronting Nos.14-48 High Street, a distance of approximately 77m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
c) that length of the service road Nos.14-48 High Street, Baldock from its junction with Bell Row north eastwards to its junction with B197 High Street, a distance of approximately 25m.

d) that length of Sun Street, Baldock from its junction with B656 Whitehorse Street south westwards to its junction with Church Street, a distance of approximately 88m.
An alternative route will be via B656 (Whitehorse Street/Hitchin Street), Norton Road, Icknield Way and Church Street
2. To prohibit all vehicles from proceeding along that length of B197 High Street, Baldock from its junction with B656 Whitehorse Street south eastwards to its junction with the B197 London Road/South Road roundabout, except in a north westbound direction.
An alternative route will be via South Road, A507 Clothall Road and B656 Whitehorse Street.
3. To prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of that length of Mansfield Road, Baldock from its junction with B197 High Street south westwards to the cul-de-sac end, a distance of approximately 105m.
4. To prohibit all vehicles, except those associated with the ‘Baldock Annual Charter Fair’ from waiting at any time on the following lengths of road:-
a) both sides of B197 High Street, Baldock from its junction with Pinnocks Lane north westwards to its junction with B656 Whitehorse Street, a distance of approximately 151m.
b) the central parking area of B656 Whitehorse Street, Baldock from a point in line with the south western boundary of No.10 Whitehorse Street north eastwards for a distance of approximately 40m.
c) the south side of Sun Street, Baldock from a point in line with the boundary between No.9 and No.11 Sun Street south westwards for a distance of approximately 32m.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to prohibit all traffic from using the lengths of roads and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on the lengths of roads in Hertford as set out below whilst the Hertford Carnival Parade and Event takes place on Sunday 5 October 2025.

SCHEDULE 3: flat topped road humps – those sections of road listed below and as set out in the scheme plans – High Street: from a point 8.1 metres south east of a point in line with the southern kerb line of the access road into Pinnacle Mews and continuing south eastwards for 9.8 metres. Weston Way: from a point 10.9 metres north west of a point in line with the edge of the existing speed cushion and continuing north westwards for 9.8 metres.
The flat topped road humps will be constructed at a height of approximately 65mm above the existing carriageway surface.
