What is happening?

THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF KENSINGTON AND CHELSEA

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES QUEEN’S GATE MEWS AND GLOUCESTER ROAD

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea intends to make an Order under The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 Schedule 1 - Section 14 (1) (A) and all other enabling powers prohibiting vehicles from proceeding or waiting in roads cited below. Where necessary to maintain access for residents and occupiers one way or two-way traffic working may be imposed on affected roads.

ROAD CLOSED TO VEHICLES FOR CRANE WORKS.

Queen’s Gate Mews to be closed at the junction of Gloucester Road to the junction with the side of number 1a Queens Gate Mews.

Diverted through traffic may use Gloucester Road, Queen’s Gate Terrace, Queen’s Gate Mews, in both directions.

Gloucester Road junction of Kensington Gate and outside of number 28 Gloucester Road to have short Traffic Holds of up to three minutes.

To be closed from 07.00hrs until 21.00hrs on Wednesday 15th October 2025.

Nothing in this Order shall apply to anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform or a traffic warden.

Nothing in this Order shall apply to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, or for the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency.
