Public Footpath Cl16/35, High Street, Paulton - Temporary restrictions due to surfacing works

What is happening?

Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a closure to Public Footpath CL16/35 commencing from a junction with Public Footpath CL16/38 at ST65075625 and proceeding in a generally E direction for approx 122m to ST65195626.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the right of way: namely surfacing works. The Order will come into force on 27th October 2025 and will be effective for two weeks (however the footpath will be opened sooner if the works are completed sooner, as is expected).
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Public Footpath CL16/38 – Public Footpath CL16/39 – Elm Road – Winterfield Road – High Street - Public Footpath CL16/35. Vice Versa.
