What is happening?
THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT (BUXTON ROAD, HAZEL GROVE) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport has on 25 September 2025 made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic Act 1991 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 which will come into operation on 20 October 2025. The effect of the Order introduced No Waiting at Any Time: Buxton Road - north easterly side from a point 18 metres north west of the projected boundary line between nos. 91 & 93 for a distance of 5 metres in a north westerly direction. A copy of the Order and map may be obtained from Stockport Legal Services, Town Hall Stockport. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or the Road Traffic Act 1991, or that a requirement of the Act or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
