Postern Lane, Gatehead Lane and Ballhall Lane - Temporary Traffic Regulation

What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
PART OF POSTERN LANE, GATEHEAD LANE
AND BALLHALL LANE, STORWOOD

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the
date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of
which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding
along Postern Lane, Gatehead Lane and Ballhall Lane,
Storwood between 08.00 hours until 18.00 hours
commencing 28 October 2025 until 1 November
2025 to allow works for Postern Lane, Storwood.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to
be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring
the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18
months, but it is anticipated that the works will be
completed within five days. The alternative route for
traffic affected by the road closure will be via Narrow
Lane, Hagg Lane, road from Hagg Lane to General
Lane, General Lane, Langrickgate Lane and Postern
Lane, Melbourne CP, Cottingwith CP, Wolds Weighton
Ward. The diversion route will be signed at the time
of closure. The roads will be closed to all traffic but
access will be maintained for emergency vehicles.
