Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make or have or the effect of which:

Max Mill Lane, Winscombe, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into Force: 27 November 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Gigaclear for customer connection.

This order will become operative on the 27 November 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be 5 days in duration between the hours of 8am and 4.45pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach for a customer connection.

This order will become operative on the 27 November 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be 5 days in duration between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

This order will become operative on the 16 December 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be 8 days in duration between 9am to 4pm. This order will become operative on the 30 November 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be 6 hours in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to complete works to underground structures. This order will become operative on the 1 December 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be 10 days in duration between 9.30 and 3.30pm. The dates may be subject to change as these are approximate and subject to the progressions of the works. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into force: 15 September 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for works access, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon increased traffic levels during work by North Somerset Council. That required the prohibition of use by vehicles on Wolvershill Road. This will become operative on the 15 September 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be 40 weeks in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Pedestrians Order 2025

Date coming into force: 19 September 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, cyclists, pedestrians and equestrians the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for works access, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of work being executed on and near the road by North Somerset Council to construct Banwell Bypass which necessitated utilities diversions. This will become operative on the 19 September 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be 40 weeks in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, have made an order the effect of which:

Bristol Road (B3440) and West Wick, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset

Temporary 30mph Speed Limit Order and Prohibition of Overtaking Order 2025

Date coming into force: 6 October 2025

Ref: T25-44

Is to restrict, temporarily, any vehicle from exceeding 30 mph and prohibit them from overtaking on the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services.

This order was necessary in the interest of public safety and the facilitation of road works to be undertaken relating to BSIP (Bus Service Improvement Plan) at Bristol Road (B3440) and West Wick, Weston-super-Mare. The order will become operative on 6 October 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the temporary speed limit and prohibition of overtaking may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be 11 weeks in duration.

Schedule - B3440 Bristol Road, Weston-super-Mare from the westbound slip road junction with A370 Somerset Avenue to the centre line of Bristol Road junction with Shepherds Way. B3440 Bristol Road, Weston-super-Mare the entirety of the eastbound slip road and the return slip to its junction with A370 Somerset Avenue. West Wick, Weston-super-Mare from its junction with B3440 Bristol Road for approximately 20m.
