Kingston St. Mary, Temporary Road Closures Due To Gas Works
What is happening?
Somerset Council Parish of Kingston St. Mary Temporary Closure of Parsonage Lane, Greenway and Yarford Road
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Parsonage Lane -from the junction with Greenway, south-eastwards for a distance of 216 metres; Greenway - from the junction with Parsonage Lane, north-eastwards for 516 metres and Yarford Road - from the junction with Greenway, south-westwards for a distance of 242 metres. A total distance of 974 metres. This Order will enable Wales & West Utilities to carry out gas main replacement works.
The Order becomes effective on 9th October 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 13th October 2025 and last until 5th December 2025 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 54 days.
