(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council intend in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic from proceeding along the length of road set out in the Schedule below whilst the Order is in force. During such periods as are indicated by traffic signs informing the public that the road is closed.
The Order is necessary in the interest of Safety for Arborists to carry out vegetation clearance and to dig trial holes in the highway.
The Order will come into force on the 27th October 2025 and shall continue in force for a maximum duration of 18 months, or until the works are completed whichever is the sooner. It is estimated that the works will take 2 weeks to complete.
SCHEDULE
Heol Cae’r Bont will be closed from a point situated 730m west from its junction with the A48 Roundabout for a distance of 460m in a westerly direction along its length.
There is no alternative route for vehicular traffic.
Access for pedestrian and emergency vehicles will be maintained
