What is happening?

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL

(FOOTPATH NO. 581041 IN THE PARISH OF WINDERMERE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Bethell Construction to carry out new sewerage installation (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along Footpath No. 581041 in the Parish of Windermere between grid references: 340775, 498794 and 340743, 498786.

There is no suitable alternative route available for pedestrians.

The Order will come into operation on 10 October 2025 and may continue in force for a period of up to six months from that date as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed. It is anticipated that the closure shall only be required for 28 days.
