Kendal, Temporary Footpath Closure Due To Gas Connection Works

What is happening?

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL

(FOOTPATH NO. 536231 IN THE PARISH OF KENDAL (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Cadent Gas to carry out gas connection works (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along Footpath No. 536231 in the Parish of Kendal between grid references: 351487, 492551 and 351497, 492551.

A suitable alternative route for pedestrians is available using footpath 536233 and the unaffected section of 536231.

The Order will come into operation on 01 October 2025 as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed and may continue in force for a period of up to six months or until the completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
