(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC)

(NO.15) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable highway works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists) from proceeding along the lengths of road specified in the attached Schedule.

Suitable diversion routes will be indicated on site by the display of relevant traffic signs and in when the temporary closures are in force.

The reference to quote are detailed in the Schedule.

The Order will come into operation on 29th September 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required for 1 month and only as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

EXTENT OF RESTRICTIONS AND ALTERNATIVE ROUTES

  1. U5452 Storth Road, Storth – Start Date 29th September 2025

    • Approx. duration 3 weeks (Ref: TTRO\W\15268)

      From its junction with its junction with the U5451, extending in a south westerly direction for a distance of approx. 400m.

      Alternative Route: via the U5451 Carr Bank Road, C5097 and the unrestricted section of the U5452 Storth Road.

  2. U5451 Carr Bank Road, Storth – Start Date 29th September 2025

    • Approx. duration 3 weeks (Ref: TTRO\W\15268)

      From its junction with its junction with the C5097, extending in a north easterly then south easterly direction for a distance of approx. 1km.

      Alternative Route: via the C5097 and the U5452 Storth Road.

  3. C5060 Bowland Bridge – Start Date 20th October 2025

    • Approx. duration 5 days (Ref: TTRO\W\15763)

      From its junction with its junction with the C5048, extending in a westerly direction for a distance of approx. 220m.

      Alternative Route: via the C5048, A5074 and the unrestricted section of the C5060.

  4. B5277 Lindale Road, Lindale – Start Date 16th October 2025

    • Approx. duration 2 weeks (Ref: TTRO\W\14076)

      From its junction with its junction Meathop Road, extending in a north westerly direction for a distance of approx. 1.2km.

      Alternative Route: via the A590, B5278 and the unrestricted section of the B5277.

  5. C5060 Kin Cross Bank, Dunnerdale – Start Date 13th October 2025

    • Approx. duration 3 weeks (Ref: TTRO\W\15803)

      From a point adjacent to a property known as Far Kiln Bank, extending in a north westerly direction for a distance of approx. 95m.

      Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C5008, C5007, A595 Broughton in Furness.

  6. A592 Storrs – Start Date 9th October 2025

    • Approx. duration 5 days (Ref: TTRO\W\15853)

      From its junction with B5360, extending in a north easterly direction for a distance approx. 2.5km.

      Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the A592, A591, and A590.
