Northumberland, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures Due To Vaarious Works

What is happening?

NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

U8113 PAINSHAWFIELD ROAD STOCKSFIELD

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U8113 Painshawfield Road 154 metres south westwards from its junction with U8122 Apperley Road heading in a south westward direction for a distance of 42 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 30th September 2025 until the 9th October 2025.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 30th September 2025 until the 2nd October 2025 the road will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 9th October 2025.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via U8113, U8122, U8123 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Northumbrian Water to excavate and renew pipe service. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

U8285 PRUDHOE TO DISTRICT BOUNDARY PRUDHOE

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U8285 Prudhoe to District Boundary Prudhoe from its junction with Prudhoe Town Tynedale District Footpath 087 heading in a north westwards direction for a distance of 247 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 1st October 2025 until the 1st December 2025.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 1st October 2025 until the 7th November 2025 between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 1st December 2025.

There is no alternative route for vehicular traffic.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council to replace a bridge. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

C224 QUARRY CLOSURE POINT TO BOGHALL JUNCTION KIRKHEATON

C211 DISTRICT BOUNDARY TO WEST BELSAY JUNCTION

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of highways in the County of Northumberland:

The Order is to be effective from the 6th October 2025 until the 18th January 2026

• C224 Quarry Closure Point to Boghall Junction from its junction with the C211 District Boundary to West Belsay Junction for a distance of 1,380 metres in a south-westerly direction .

It is expected that the C224 Quarry Closure Point to Boghall Junction will be closed from the 6th October 2025 until the 10th October 2025 at all times during this period. The Order however will remain in place until the 18th January 2026

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being C224, U9016, C340, C339, C211 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

• C211 District Boundary to West Belsay Junction from its junction with the C224 Quarry Closure Point to Boghall Junction for a distance of 1956 metres in a north-westerly, south-westerly and north-westerly direction.

It is expected the C211 District Boundary to West Belsay Junction will be closed from the 10th November 2025 until the 18th December 2025 at all times during this period. The Order however will remain in place until the 18th January 2026

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being C211, U9013, C224 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The road closures have been requested by United Living on behalf of Northumbrian Water to excavate and lay a water main in the carriageway and disconnect the old water main. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)(b)

U8293 ST PAULS ROAD, HEXHAM

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order under Section 14 (1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. This is in accordance with section 15(8) of said Act and Regulation 7 of The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Procedure Regulations 1992 in that the following restrictions will continue to be in force:

Temporary Road Closure:

On the U8293 St Pauls Road in Hexham from its junction with the U8293 St Marks Road heading in a westward direction for a distance of 141 metres (“the Road”) in the County of Northumberland.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the Order is in force and will be signposted accordingly.

Works by Northern Gas Networks are still ongoing by following a gas leak on a high-pressure network.

This Order came into force on 20 September 2025 and will remain in force until the 31October 2025.

CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2024 VARIATION ORDER 27

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council, in exercise of the powers conferred under sections 1 to 4, 32, 35, 45 and 46, 61 and 64 (as appropriate) and Part IV of schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other powers so enabling, have made the above-named Order.

The effect of the Order, which will come into force on 29th September 2025 will be to vary the “Northumberland County Council (Waiting, Loading & Parking Places) (Map Based) Consolidation Order 2024” by introducing “no waiting at any time” parking restrictions on sections of the B6318 Burnt House Junction to Greenhead Road, Glenwhelt Bank and the U7083 Military Road to Railway Line Road in Greenhead.

The restrictions can also be viewed in map format, as the maps form part of the map-based schedule to the Order. A copy of the Order, together with the maps that form part of the Schedule to the Order and any other relevant documents, notices or Orders as appropriate as well as a Statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order are available to view or download on the NCC Website:
