TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990

The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled "The Stopping up of Highway (North West) (No.27) Order 2025" authorising the stopping up of an irregular shared area of highway comprising a length and part width of Murray Road and a northern part width of Oxford Street at Workington in the County of Cumbria. This is to enable development as permitted by Cumberland Council under the provisions of the Act and Schedule 2, Part 9, Class A of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) Order 2015.

Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE4 7AR or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting NATTRAN/NW/S247/6026). They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Workington Library, Vulcans Lane, Workington,

CA14 2ND.

Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 25 September 2025.
