ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(NELL LANE, CUERDEN, CHORLEY BOROUGH) (REVOCATION AND 20MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 18 September 2025 Lancashire County Council made the above Speed Limit Order under Sections 84 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to:
1. Revoke the "Lancashire County Council (Nell Lane, Shady Lane and Wigan Road, Cuerden, Chorley and South Ribble Boroughs) (40 and 50mph Speed Limit) Order 2013" insofar as it relates to Item b) of Schedule 1.
2. Introduce a 20mph speed limit on Nell Lane, Cuerden, from a point 14 metres east of its junction with the centreline of Wigan Road (A49) to a point 6 metres west of its junction with the centreline of Shady Lane.
This Order will come into force on the 03 October 2025. A copy of the Order, and all other relevant documents may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Chorley Borough Council, Town Hall, Market Street, Chorley, PR7 1DP, and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, Fishergate, Preston PR1 8XJ, and on Lancashire County Councils Website
