Pyles Thome, Temporary Road Closure Due To Ducting Works

Somerset Council Parish of Wellington Temporary Closure of Pyles Thome

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Pyles Thome - from the junction with Pyles Thome Road, north-eastwards for a total distance of 235 metres. This Order will enable OCU Group Ltd to carry out ducting works on behalf of Virgin Media.

The Order becomes effective on 9th October 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 13th October 2025 and last until 17th October 2025 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 5 days. There is no alternative route for this closure. The works promoter will contact residents and businesses directly to discuss access arrangements.
