(Walberton: West Walberton Lane)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close West Walberton Lane in Walberton from its junction with The Street to its junction with Copse Lane. The closure of this road is needed to allow gas mains to be replaced in safety.

The Order will come into effect on 13 October 2025 and remain in force until 21 November 2025. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

(Selsey: East Beach Road)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to close the length of East Beach Road between Constable Drive and Beach Road.

The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst repairs are made to a collapsed pipe.

The Order came into effect on 13 October 2025 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is anticipated works will commence on 13 October 2025 and will take 2 weeks to complete.

(Bognor Regis: Public Footpath 3080)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Public Footpath 3080 in Bognor Regis from its junction with Ivy Lane to its junction with Highcroft Avenue. The closure of this route is needed to allow the railway footbridge to be replaced safely.

The Order will come into effect on 30 September 2025 and remain in force for up to 6 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

Unfortunately, during the operative period of the Order, no alternative route is available via the public rights of way network.

(30mph Speed Limit) Order 2025

(40mph Speed Limit) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made permanent Orders under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:

(i)  reduce the speed limit on the section of Durbans Road currently subject to a 40MPH speed limit to 30MPH; and

(ii) reduce the speed limit on lengths of the B2145 & B2201 at Sidlesham Common to 30MPH; and

(iii) extend the 40MPH speed limit on the B2138 Bury Gate/Trip Hill from south of Fittleworth village to the A29.

The Orders will come into operation on 29 September 2025. Paper copies of documents will not be available to view in council offices or libraries. People without access to a computer who wish to have a copy of the Order should telephone the WSCC Contact Centre on 01243 642105 to receive a copy by post.

Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Orders, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act, or on the grounds that any requirements of the act, or of any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Orders, may within 6 weeks from 25 September 2025, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

(Elm Close Amendment) Order 202*

NOTICE is hereby given that in exercise of their powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, WSCC, made a permanent Order the effect of which will be to introduce lengths of prohibition of waiting at any time (double yellow lines) in and around the junction of Elm Close and the B2198 Bracklesham Lane.

The Order will come into operation on 29 September 2025. Paper copies of documents will not be available to view in council offices or libraries.
