Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the U45669 Gander Lane Road from its junction with Swilgate Road to outside the Cricket Ground for a distance of approximately 75 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for works to repair a street lighting column.
The said road is expected to be closed from 2nd October 2025 until 3rd October 2025 only or until the said works have been completed.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the U45687 Tolsey Lane and footway from its junction with Shakespeare Court to outside the property known as ‘Nailors Court’ for a distance of approximately 45 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for excavation works by Severn Trent Water.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close and restrict part of the A48 Main Road, Minsterworth/A48 From Denny Bridge to The Cottage from its junction with Ley Lane to its junction with Church Lane for a distance of approximately 2.2 kilometres.
The reason for the said closure is for works to install crossing islands in the carriageway.

The reason for the closures and restrictions is for carriageway resurfacing works.
There will be no waiting or no loading permitted throughout the duration of the said works.
The said roads are expected to be closed and restricted, during various times, on a rolling programme commencing 1ST October 2025 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the closures and restrictions are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the closures and restrictions taking effect. This Order can permit the closure and restriction of the roads in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated all works will be completed by 31st March 2026. However, if the works are not completed by this date the Order can remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner

GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (PUBLIC FOOTPATH EHM 3 (PART)) (PARISH OF HIGHNAM) DIVERSION ORDER 2025
On the 9th September 2025 the Gloucestershire County Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and Section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert a length of public footpath as shown on the Order Plan. A copy of the Order as confirmed and the Order Plan may be seen free of charge during normal office hours at Gloucestershire County Council, Shire Hall, Westgate Street, Gloucester, GL1 2TG, and Tewkesbury Borough Council, Public Services Centre, Gloucester Road, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, GL20 5TT. Copies of the Order and Order Plan may be obtained free of charge by emailing prow@gloucestershire. gov.uk (please quote reference EHM3/KM).
The Order comes into force on the 7th October 2025 but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provisions contained in it, within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 (HA1980), as amended, and/or the powers of section 53A of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (WCA1981) or on the ground that any requirement of either Act or of any regulation made under them has not been complied with in relation to the Order, they may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to HA1980 as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act and as applied by s53A(7) WCA1981, within six weeks 25th September 2025, apply to the High Court.
