Wiltshire, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures Due To Various Worjs

What is happening?

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) Goggs Lane, Redlynch; from its junction with Timberley Lane to its junction with Church Hill to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out core sampling and associated works. Alternative route via Church Hill – School Lane – Vicarage Road – Timberley Lane and vice versa.

This Order will come into operation on 20 October 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 on 21 October 2025. For further information please contact National Testing on 07305 157564.

B) Upper Street (Part), Salisbury; from its junction with A3094 for a distance of approximately 20m in a northerly direction to enable SGN to carry out gas main and associated works. Alternative route via Upper Street (unaffected length) – Middle Street – Lower Street – A3094 and vice versa.

This Order will come into operation on 20 October 2025 and the closure will be required until 07 November 2025. For further information please contact SGN on 0800 1911700.

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

C) C335 (Part), Winterslow; from its property known as Roche Court for a distance of approximately 100m in a southerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out communication equipment and associated works.

Alternative route via Clough Lane West – Clough Lane North – A30 – C335 (unaffected length) and vice versa.

This Order will come into operation on 29 September 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 for 1 day.

D) C12 (Part), Bishopstone and Broad Chalke; from its junction with Flamstone Street to its property known as Stoke Farm to enable BT to carry out pole tests and associated works.

Alternative route via C12 (unaffected length) – C64 – A30 – A36 – A3094 – C320 – C12 (unaffected length) and vice versa.

This Order will come into operation on 29 September 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00 for 2 days.

E) High Street (Part), Netheravon; from its junction with Lower Road for a distance of approximately 50m in a southerly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out sewer connection and associated works.

Alternative route via High Street (unaffected length) – Lower Road and vice versa.

This Order will come into operation on 29 September 2025 and the closure will be required until 24 October 2025.

F) High Street (Part), Durrington; from its junction with Windsor Road to its junction with Moat Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out highways resurfacing and road marking works.

Alternative route via Windsor Road – Coronation Road – Bulford Road – Stonehenge Road – Larkhill Road – High Street and vice versa.

This Order will come into operation on 29 September 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 15:30 for 3 days.

G) Stonehenge Road (Part), Amesbury; from its junction with Church Street for a distance of approximately 110m in a westerly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out reactive patching and road markings.

No alternative route is available.

This Order will come into operation on 03 October 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 23:59 for 4 days.

H) C42 (Part), Wilsford Cum Lake; from its junction with Hungerford Lane for a distance of approximately 950m in a northerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out fibre cabling and desilting works.

Alternative route via C42 (unaffected length) – Stonehenge Road – High Street – A345 – High Post Road and vice versa.

This Order will come into operation on 29 September 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 2 days.

I) Butts Road (Part), Salisbury; from its junction with A345 for a distance of approximately 40m in a westerly direction to enable Southern Gas Networks to carry out gas main replacement and associated works.

Alternative route via Butts Road (unaffected length) – Ashley Road – A360 – A36 – A345 and vice versa.

This Order will come into operation on 29 September 2025 and the closure will be required until 03 October 2025.

Orders A) to I) will have a maximum duration of 18 months.

The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.

It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
