What is happening?

Temporary Closure Of Langton Road, Blandford Forum

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles, cyclists and horse riders will be prohibited from proceeding along Langton Road, Blandford Forum between Langton Crescent and Riverside Road, a distance of approximately 60 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 20th October 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 31st October 2025.

This Order will enable SGN, safe access to carry out gas main works.

A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

Temporary Traffic Management Order, Daggons Road, Alderholt

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 20th October 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 29th October 2025.

This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.

The effect of this Order is as follows:

[i] To impose a temporary road closure on; Daggons Road, Alderholt as indicated by signs on site.

[ii] To impose a temporary clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along Daggons Road, Alderholt.

A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed section.

The County Of Dorset (Post Green Road, Lytchett Minster) (Prohibition Of Motor Vehicles) Order 202*

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of Dorset proposes to make the above-mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The general effect of the Order will be to prohibit all motor vehicles from being along any length of Post Green Road, Lytchett Minster from the entrance to Lytchett Minster School in a westerly direction for approximately 160 metres, weekdays in the hours of 7.45am to 9.00am and 3.00pm to 4.00pm on every school day.
