Multiple Roads, Lymington & Pennington, New Forest - Temporary Road Closure due to gas mains replacement
What is happening?
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council Intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.
ROADS TO BE CLOSED: Spring Road between its junction with Springfield Close and its junction with Queen Katherine Road from Monday 13th October 2025 to Friday 31st October 2025. Stanley Road between its junction with Westfield Road and its junction with Kings Saltern Road from Monday 3rd November 2025 to Friday 28th November 2025. Phase 1-Kings Saltern Road between its junction with Westfield Road and its junction with All Saints Road from from Monday 17th November 2025 to Friday 13th February 2026. (One Closure on Kings Saltern Road at a time) Phase 2- Kings Saltern Road between its junction with Westfield Road and its junction with Stanley Road from Monday 17th November 2025 to Friday 13th February 2026. (One Closure on Kings Saltern Road at a time)
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Spring Road- Brook Road, Waterford Lane, Kings Saltern Road, Stanley Road. Stanley Road- Westfield Road, Brook Road. Kings Saltern Road- Westfield Road, Stanley Road.
DURATION OF ORDER: from Monday 13th October 2025 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closures will be required for no longer than 4 months and this order will be in operation 24 hours a day). The Temporary Road Closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for AJM Utilities to complete gas mains replacement.
