A44 to Tidbatch via Whitbourne - Temporary Road Closure due to Drainage Works

Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: C1066 From A44 To Tidbatch Via Whitbourne, Whitbourne, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the C1066 From A44 To Tidbatch Via Whitbourne, Whitbourne, from the junction with Tedney Road to the entrance of Horners Mill. Grid Ref: 371993/258036. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via Pound Lane onto Holly Bush Lane, onto the B4203, onto Delamere Road, onto Whitbourne School Road, onto the C1066 and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to drainage works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 13th of October 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 2 weeks.
