Ross Road Service Road, Whitchurch - Temporary Road Closure due to Fencing Construction Works
What is happening?
Notice of Intention
NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order:
U71200, Ross Road Service Road, Whitchurch, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the U71200, Ross Road Service Road, Whitchurch, at the junction with the B4164. Grid Ref: 355026/217624.
The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the A40 onto the C1251, onto the A40, onto the B4164 and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to fencing construction works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place.
The said closure will come into force on 20th of October 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 1 month.
