THE A36 TRUNK ROAD (DUNDAS) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (a) intends to make an Order on the A36 trunk road in Bath and North East Somerset to allow maintenance works to be carried out in safety.

The restrictions are expected to be in place from 06:00 hours on 13 October 2025 and ending at 06:00 hours on 6 December 2025.

The effect of the Order is to impose a temporary mandatory 30 mph speed limit on the A36 between 200 metres north of the junction with Brassknocker Hill, and 1200 metres north of the junction with Brassknocker Hill.

The restrictions would not apply to emergency service or special forces vehicles.

The speed limits will be clearly indicated by traffic signs throughout the period of works.

The Order would come into force on 11 October 2025 and have a maximum duration of 18 months.

THE M4 MOTORWAY (JUNCTION 16 TO 15)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (a) intends to make an Order on the M4 Motorway in the County of Wiltshire and the Borough of Swindon to enable resurfacing and associated maintenance works to be carried out in safety.

The works are expected to take place overnight (19.00 - 06.00) on or after 13 October 2025 and be completed by 11 November 2025.

The effect of the Order would be to authorise the overnight closure of the M4 eastbound from Junction 16 to Junction 15 and the eastbound entry slip road at Junction 16.

During the closures traffic will be diverted via junctions of the M4, and local roads.

The closures, (which would not apply to emergency services and works vehicles) and diversion routes would be clearly indicated by traffic signs throughout the works period and would only apply when traffic management measures are in place.

The Order would come into force on 11 October 2025 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months.
