Various Locations, Worksop - Temporary Prohibition Of Driving For Carriageway Resurfacing Works
What is happening?
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS LOCATIONS, WORKSOP)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2025 (BS25-287)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Worksop in the District of Bassetlaw
The effects of the Order will be:
a. Blyth Road, Worksop - From its junction with Hundred Acre Lane in a south westerly direction for 1700 metres
b. Thievesdale Lane, Worksop - From its junction with Blyth Road to its junction with Aviary Way
c. Red Lane, Worksop - From its junction with Blyth Road in an easterly direction for 150 metres
2. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
3. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 20:00 hours until 06:00 hours only
From Monday 29th September until Monday 13th October 2025 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
Vehicles below 7.5T MGW - B6045 Blyth Road Worksop - Hundred Acre Lane - Liquorice Lane - Wigthorpe Lane - A60 High Road - A60 Carlton Road - B6041 Thievesdale Lane - B6041 Farmers Branch and vice versa.
Thievesdale Lane (All vehicles) - Thievesdale Lane - B6041 Farmers Branch and vice versa.
Red Lane (All Vehicles) - A60 Carlton Road - B6041 Thievesdale Lane - B6041 Farmers Branch and vice versa.
Vehicles above 7.5T MGW - B6045 Blyth Road - B6045 Briber Hill - B6045 Worksop Road - A634 High Street Blyth - A634 Sheffield Road - A634 Blyth Road Oldcotes - A60 Doncaster Road - A60 High Road - A60 Carlton Road - B6041 Thievesdale Lane - B6041 Farmers Branch and vice versa.
The Order will come into force on 29th September 2025 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing works;
