North Tyneside - Multiple Traffic Notices
What is happening?
THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF NORTH TYNESIDE
CHIRTON & PERCY MAIN, FOREST HALL, NEW YORK & MURTON, WALLSEND NORTH AND WEETSLADE
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
North Tyneside Council gives notice that it intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit all through traffic on:
CHIRTON & PERCY MAIN
Verne Road outside Nos. 166 and 256. The proposed temporary Order is required for patching works and speed cushions. Alternative routes are Norham Road, Chollerford Avenue, Falstaff Road.
FOREST HALL
Meadway outside Nos. 6, 28 and 52. The proposed temporary Order is required for patching works. Alternative routes are Feetham Avenue, Farne Road, Clousden Drive, Forest Hall Road and Crescent Way South.
NEW YORK & MURTON
Middle Engine Lane at the Junction of New York Way.
The proposed temporary Order is required for patching works. Alternative routes are Norham Road North, Silverfox Way and Cobalt Park Way.
WALLSEND NORTH
Mullen Road opposite 3 Parkside Terrace, opposite 1 Parkside Terrace, the corner of 1 Parkside Terrace and Near Junction Mason Road. The proposed temporary Order is required for patching works.
Alternative routes are Mason Road and Conway Gardens.
WEETSLADE
Coach Lane outside 8 Rydal Terrace to junction Ascot Drive, Outside 20 Coach Lane and Junction Birchwood Avenue. The proposed temporary Order is required for patching works. Access maintained for residents with local diversion signs in place.
The Order will come into force on 14 October 2025 lasting until 30 November 2025.
