What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

MAIDSTONE AND SWALE AREAS

Pett Lane, Bredgar, ME9 7QE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2025

To allow installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Pett Lane, Bredgar from 21st October 2025, with estimated completion by 24th October 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junction with Oad Street and Woolpit Ash, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Oad Street, Maidstone Road, (new link road between Oad Street and South Green), South Green Lane, Pett Road, Deans Bottom, Stiff Street, Oad Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
