Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
DOVER AREA
B2046 Adisham Road, Adisham & Wingham & Crockshard Lane, Wingham (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2046 Adisham Road, Adisham & Wingham & Crockshard Lane, Wingham, on or after 23rd October 2025 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.
Closures will be imposed between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
B2046 Adisham Road will be closed from outside Uffington Cottages to the junction of Wingham Well Lane.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2046 Adisham Road, B2046 High Street A257 Canterbury Road, A257 Wingham Road, A257 The Hill, A257 Canterbury Road, A257 Littlebourne Road, A257 St Martin’s Hill, A257 Longport, A257 Lower Chantry Lane, A2050 New Dover Road, A2050 Dover Road, A2 Dover Road Slip East On, A2 Dover Road, A2 Barham Slip Eastbound Off, B2046 Box Iron Road and vice versa.
Crockshard Lane will be closed between the junctions of B2046 Adisham Road and Crockshard Hill.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Crockshard Lane, Crockshard Hill, Goodnestone Road, Staple Road, B2046 High Street, B2046 Adisham Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Boyes Lane, Goodnestone, CT3 1PB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow tree cutting to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Boyes Lane, Goodnestone, on or after 7th October 2025 for up to 10 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from outside number 5 to the junction of Cave Lane, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cave Lane, Saddlers Hill, Boyes Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Court Road, Walmer, CT14 7RF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Court Road, Walmer, on or after 20th October 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 56, between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Court Road, Salisbury Road, A258 Dover Road, Station Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Crooks Court Lane, West Hougham, CT15 7BN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Crooks Court Lane, West Hougham, on or after 20th October 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside the Pumping Station, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Crooks Court Lane, Queens Lea, The Street, Lowslip Hill, Youngs Place, Elms Hill, Stonyway Lane, Doctors Lane, Church Lane, Hougham Top Road, Gravel Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Lower Road, Temple Ewell, CT16 3EG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow sewage works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lower Road, Temple Ewell, on or after 20th October 2025 for up to 15 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from outside number 48 to outside number 52, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lower Road, High Street, London Road, Alkham Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Market Street, Deal, CT14 6TR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Market Street, Deal, on or after 21st October 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from outside number 3 to outside number 9, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Market Street, Beach Street, King Street, Middle Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Middle Street, Deal, CT14 6AQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Middle Street, Deal, on or after 20th October 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside 12B, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The one-way Order will be suspended the entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via South Street, Victoria Road, Sondes Road, A258 Beach Street and A258 Broad Street.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Old Charlton Road, Dover, CT16 2PP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Old Charlton Road, Dover, on or after 20th October 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of Connaught Road to outside St Edmunds Catholic School, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Old Charlton Road, Connaught Road, A258 Castle Hill Road, Dover Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Southwall Road, Deal, CT14 9QA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Southwall Road, Deal, on or after 6th October 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from outside number 14 to outside number 24, between the hours of 09:00 and 18:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Southwall Road, Church Lane, Dola Avenue, Middle Deal Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
The Street & Molland Lane, Ash, CT3 2HH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow tree cutting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of The Street & Molland Lane, Ash, on or after 20th October 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
Works will be carried out in 2 phases as detailed below:
Phase 1 - Works will be carried out from 20th October 2025, with estimated completion by 24th October 2025.
The Street will be closed between the junctions of Molland Lane and Chequer Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Guilton, Pedding Hill, A257 Ash Bypass, Sandwich Road, The Street and vice versa.
Phase 2 - Works will be carried out from 27th October 2025, with estimated completion by 27th October 2025.
Molland Lane will be closed outside Guildcrest, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Molland Lane, School Road, Molland Lea, Holness Road, Chequer Lane, The Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
