What is happening?

BRACKNELL FOREST BOROUGH COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS, BRACKNELL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Bracknell Forest Borough Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, in accordance with Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in the direction stated along the following lengths of road: -

a) Ringmead, Bracknell, between Wroxham and Wylam in both directions

The diversion route for this closure will be via Ringmead, Great Hollands Road and Ringmead, or this route in reverse.

b) Ringmead, Bracknell, between Wordsworth and Winscombe in both directions

The diversion route for this closure will be via Ringmead, Great Hollands Road and Ringmead, or this route in reverse.

c) Great Hollands Road, Bracknell, Between Beedon Drive and Gt Hollands Square in both directions

The diversion route for this closure will be via Great Hollands Road, Ringmead, and Great Hollands Road, or this route in reverse.

d) Great Hollands Road, Bracknell Between Holbeck and Highfield in both directions

The diversion route for this closure will be via Great Hollands Road, Ringmead, and Great Hollands Road, or this route in reverse.

e) Ringmead, Bracknell, Between Tumberry and Ullswater in both directions

The North-bound diversion for this closure will be via, Ringmead, Great Hollands Road, Hanworth Roundabout, Crowthorne Road A3095, u-turning via 'Muzzy's Roundabout', Crowthorne Road A3095, Ringmead Slip.

The South-bound diversion for this closure will be via Ringmead (GH) across bus gate to Ringmead (HAN), Hanworth Road, Hanworth Roundabout, Great Hollands Road, Ringmead

f) Ringmead, Bracknell, Between Knightswood and Kimberley, in both directions

The diversion route for this closure will be via.Ringmead, Birch Hill Road, Ringmead, or this route reversed.

g) Famingham, Bracknell, Between Kimmeridge and Savernake Way in both directions

The diversion route for this closure will be via, Farningham, Savernake Way, B3430 New Forest Ride, A322 Bagshot Road, Opladen Way, Farningham, or this route reversed.

h) Harmans Water Road, Bracknell, Between Pankhurst Drive and Merlewood in both directions

The diversion route for this closure will be via, Harmans Water Road, Nightingale Crescent, Harmans Water Road , or this route reversed.

i) Harmans Water Road, Bracknell Between Ripplesmere and Bradfields

The diversion for this closure will be via, Harmans Water Road, Sports Centre Roundabout, A322 Bagshot Road, A3095 Bagshot Road, A3095 Church Road, A329 London Road, Broad Lane, Ralphs Ride or this route in reverse.

Access will be maintained where possible for residents and businesses

affected by this Order.

The purpose of this Order is to enable works to be executed on the road namely kerb replacements on traffic calming chicanes. The proposed Order will come into operation on the 13th October 2025 and its maximum duration will be 18 months or until the completion of the works whichever shall be the earlier. It is currently anticipated that the works on sites h) above will commence on 13th October 2025, sites f), g) and i) commencing w/c Monday 27th October 2025 and sites a), b), c), d), e) commencing w/c Monday 16th February 2025. Further information will be available on the following link: Renewing road surfaces | Bracknell Forest Council and signs detailing individual sites closure dates will be placed on site prior to commencement of the works.
