Barlowfield Road - Temporary Traffic Regulation Order For Repair To Damaged Northumbria Water Infrastructure
What is happening?

(BARLOWFIELD ROAD, WINLATON) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Borough Council of Gateshead proposes to make an Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Barlowfield Road from a point 30 metres north of the junction with Huntley Crescent extending in a northerly direction for a distance of 25 metres. The Order is required to facilitate repair to damaged Northumbria Water infrastructure. The Order will come into force on 13 October 2025 between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30. The maximum duration of the Order will be 18 months; however, the works are expected to be completed by 17 October 2025. During the works all vehicles (except vehicles associated with the works and emergency service vehicles on duty) will be prohibited from proceeding along the above road until the works are completed or at such times and to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the display of traffic signs and have only limited access during non working hours.
