(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists), from proceeding along that section of the B5344 Drigg, from its junction with the U4054, Station Road, extending in an overall easterly direction for approx. 70m.

A suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted sections of the B5344 Drigg, South Parade, Gosforth Road and the A595 Gosforth to Holmrook.

The Order will come into operation on 12 October 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 1 day, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
