What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF NEWHAM

Notice Of Intent Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14(1)

Jupp Road, Stratford, E15 (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order, 2025

1. The Newham London Borough Council hereby gives notice that it intends to make an Order - Jupp Road, Stratford, E15, (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic), Order 2025.

The general effect of which will be to prohibit pedestrian traffic from proceeding or waiting on the public footbridge on or near the various roads listed in the schedule below.

2. The Order will be made to enable RGCM Ltd and its contractors to carry out works adjacent to the bridge, on the bridge or on or near adjacent roads.

3. The bridge closure applies from Sunday 19th October 2025 until Sunday 18th April 2027 or on completion of the works, whichever is the sooner.

4. Pedestrian traffic from Jupp Road E15 to Station Street E15 will be diverted via Lett Road E15, High Street E15 and Great Eastern Road E15.

Pedestrian traffic from Station Street E15 to Jupp Road E15 will be diverted via Great Eastern Road E15, High Street E15 and Lett Road E15.

Pedestrian signage on the diversion route will be compliant to Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Pedestrian access to local premises remains unaffected.
