Newham Way, Temporary Two-Way Operation Due To Telecommunications Works
What is happening?
TRANSPORT FOR LONDON PUBLIC NOTICE
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - The A13 GLA Road (Newham Way, London Borough Of Newham) (Temporary Two-Way Operation And Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2025
1. Transport for London having consulted the London Borough of Newham hereby gives notice that it intends to make the above named Traffic Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 for the purpose specified in paragraph 2. The effect of the Order is summarised in paragraph 3.
2. The purpose of the Order is to enable telecommunications works to take place at the A13 Newham Way service road fronting Nos.1001 to 1187 Newham Way hereafter referred to as the Newham Way service road.
3. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any vehicle from entering, exiting, or proceeding on the on the Newham Way service road between Nos.1153 and 1171 Newham Way.
The Order also suspends the one-way operation of the A13 Newham Way service road between its junction with A13 Newham Way and the extended common boundary of Nos.1151 and 1153 Newham Way to become two-way operation.
The Order will be effective at certain times between 9:30 AM and 3:30 PM on 1st October 2025 or when the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
The prohibitions will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.
4. The prohibitions will not apply in respect of:
(1) any vehicle being used for the purposes of those works or for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;
(2) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a person authorised by Transport for London.
5. At such times as the prohibitions are in force an alternative route will be indicated by traffic signs indicating two-way operation on the Newham Way service road to normal route of travel.
