Various Roads, Keynsham - Multiple Traffic Notices

What is happening?

BATH & NORTH EAST SOMERSET COUNCIL (THTTC3998 AVON VALLEY EVENTS 2025/2026 – VARIOUS ROADS, KEYNSHAM) (TEMPORARY INTRODUCTION OF A ONE-WAY RESTRICTION) (TEMPORARY INTRODUCTION OF A NO RIGHT TURN RESTRICTION) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce:

• A one-way restriction on Stidham Lane, Keynsham for its entire length. Traffic will only be able to enter Stidham Lane from Broadmead Lane and travel in an easterly direction towards Avon Valley. 

• A one-way restriction on Pixash Lane, Keynsham at its junction with Stidham Lane extending south to its junction with Ashmead Road. Traffic will only be able to travel southbound from Avon Valley exit towards Ashmead Road/A4 Bath Road. 

• A no right turn on Pixash Lane, Keynsham at the exit from Avon Valley, preventing traffic from turning right onto Stidham Lane. 

• A no right turn on Pixash Lane, Keynsham at its junction with the A4 Bath Road, meaning traffic will only be able to turn left onto the A4.

This order is required to facilitate the holding of various events at Avon Valley Adventure Park that are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and additional traffic management will be implemented at busy periods to alleviate congestion from the 17th October 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months.

The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary. Any restrictions will only be in place between 18:00hrs-21:00hrs on event days only.
