What is happening?

THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BARKING AND DAGENHAM

Temporary Traffic Management Order (Porters Avenue, Dagenham) (Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025

NOTICE OF MAKING

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in order to facilitate sewer cover repairs works, the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham has made a Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The order is expected to come in to effect on Sunday 28th September 2025. The works expected for:

Sewer cover repairs works to take 1 day to complete. Completion date estimated as Sunday 28th September 2025 with the work to be undertaken between 8:00am and 1:00pm.

However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

3. When the works are taking place and the appropriate traffic signs are being displayed the Order will temporarily: -

Prohibit all vehicles (Except for access) on Porters Avenue, southeast side, from its junction with Wood Lane to its junction with Parsloes Avenue.

Prohibit all vehicles on Porters Avenue (Except for resident access by marshalls), south-east side, from its junction with Parsloes Avenue to a point 22.5 metres north-east of its junction with Haskard Road.

Prohibit all vehicles on Porters Avenue, south-east side, from a point 22.5 metres north-east of its junction with Haskard Road for 24 metres in a south-westerly direction.

Prohibit all vehicles on Haskard Road, north-east side, from its junction with Porters Avenue for 2.5 metres in a south-easterly direction.

Prohibit all vehicles from turning left from Parsloes Avenue into Porters Avenue.

4. Alternative routes for Vehicular traffic will be maintained and signed:

For regular traffic, via Porters Avenue, Parsloes Avenue and Haskard Road.

For HGVs, via Porters Avenue, Lodge Avenue, Longbridge Road and Vice Versa.
