Norfolk Street - Temporary Prohibition Of Driving, Waiting, Loading And Unloading Order
What is happening?
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(NORFOLK STREET, WORKSOP)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, WAITING, LOADING AND UNLOADING) ORDER 2025 (BS25-321)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Worksop in the District of Bassetlaw.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road
a. Norfolk Street, Worksop - From Its junction with Newcastle Avenue to its junction with West Street.
2. Vehicles are prohibited from Waiting, Loading and Unloading (both sides) (at all times) in the following length of road
a. Norfolk Street, Worksop - from its junction with West Street to its junction with Westgate.
All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 08:00 hours Monday 6th October 2025
Until 18:00 hours Friday 17th October 2025 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be: Westgate - Newcastle Avenue and vice versa
The Order will come into force on 6th October 2025 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Seven Trent Water Locate and Repair collapsed Sewer
