Temporary Traffic Restriction Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 29th September 2025 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to prohibit the use by traffic over an area of highway being Fore Street Fowey from No 31 to No 35. Notice is further given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above order in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily suspend the existing one- way order The County of Cornwall (Fowey) (Restrictions on Driving) (Consolidation) Order 1991 (Class III) Esplanade for its entire length, Green Lane from junction with Passage Lane to junction with Park Road. The Council is satisfied that the Order is needed because works to provide new supply are being executed on or near the road. The Order will come into operation on 13th October 2025 and the works are expected to be completed by the 16th October 2025. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekdays only. Nothing in Paragraph 1 of this Order will apply to traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer. This prohibition is necessary for works to rebuild dry stone wall and it is expected that the closure will be from 13th October 2025 to 17th October 2025.
